Yesterday I took the girls to the local coffee shop after school, NOT because I was locked out of the house, nooooooooo way. ONLY because it seemed like a great place to hang for an hour while we waited for Adam. Cecilia toiled away on her homework (worksheets that gave me a headache just looking at them), and Rubes and I entertained ourselves with a rousing game of Hangman. I thought I could beat her pretty handily - she's 6 after all - but then she came up with a phrase that I just couldn't crack. When all my guesses were up, she filled in the missing blanks and clued me in:
MOMMY ROOLS
She was so pleased with herself.
